Churning Butter at Seamus Heaney Homeplace

To end this year's Shared Education Programme a trip was organised to Seamus Heaney HomePlace.

The Primary 7 pupils from both St. Trea's and Woods Primary Schools learned how to churn butter and then had a go at churning their own. Afterwards they got to browse round the centre and enjoy some of Seamus Heaney's poetry.
