St Treas Primary School & Moyola & Toome Credit Union – School Savings Scheme
We’re excited to announce the continuation of our School Savings Scheme in partnership with Moyola & Toome Credit Union. This initiative is designed to help children learn the value of money and develop positive financial habits from an early age.
How It Works:
- A Credit Union representative will visit St Treas Primary School on the first Monday of each month (if school is open) to collect savings.
- Pupils can save into their existing Credit Union accounts or open a new one.
Opening a New Account: To open a savings account for your child, please visit the Credit Union office at 35 Blackpark Road, Toomebridge during the following hours:
- Monday to Friday: 10:00am – 4:30pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Required Documents:
Child’s full birth certificate
Parent/Guardian’s utility bill or bank statement (dated within the last 3 months)
Photographic ID (Driving Licence or Passport)
A minimum balance of £5 must be maintained in the account.
Important Notes:
- Children aged 7 and above must be present with their parent/guardian to open an account.
- Withdrawals can only be made at one of the Credit Union’s three offices.
- Pupils are responsible for their money until it is handed into the school office.
