World Water Day 2026 – P7 Environmental Adventure!
Ballyronan Marina • Tuesday 24th March •
Our P7 pupils braved the very wet and miserable weather today to take part in a fantastic Sustainability, Climate, Recycling & Biodiversity Education Event hosted by Mid Ulster District Council — and despite the rain, they absolutely loved it! ??
Pupils from Woods Primary Schooloods PS, St Patrick’s PS Loup all joined together for this brilliant Shared Education community event, celebrating World Water Day 2026.
Throughout the morning, the children got hands on with a range of outdoor activities, including:
Tree & hedgerow planting
Water sampling
Water safety
Bird watching
Forest School activities
Every activity helped our pupils learn more about the environment, biodiversity, and how we can all work together to protect our natural world. This event is part of Mid Ulster District Council SCRiBE Programme, which promotes environmental awareness and conservation across our community.
A huge well done to all the pupils (and staff!) who threw themselves into everything with great enthusiasm ??
What a memorable day of outdoor learning!
